Q: Are you licensed and insured?

A: We have all required Wisconsin licenses. Minnesota customers: We do not need to be licensed to provide window and door replacement or Andersen service. These are the only two services we currently offer in Minnesota.
We do have Liability and Workers' Compensation Insurance. We can provide you with proof of insurance upon request.

Q: Do you use Subcontractors?

A: We use our own employees for about 90% of our work. This ensures our customers that only our employees are at their home. We never use cash employees. Of course there are some parts of a project that will require a subcontractor. We will inform you when a subcontractor will be used.

Q: Do you offer free estimates?

A: We offer free estimates for all projects that do not require detailed building specifications. Projects that require specifications and/or plans will have fees attached to them as they require much more time to accurately bid your project.

Regarding service on Andersen Windows & doors, we do charge a service call fee (call for pricing). If the repair cannot be completed on the first trip we will provide you with a proposal with the cost of repair(s). If you accept the proposal we will refund the service call fee.

Q: Do you underbid contracts to get them and then have a lot of change orders?

A: We absolutely do not underbid contracts just to get them. Through our years of experience we have learned what to expect while doing certain projects. This allows us to more accurately bid your project. We rarely ever have a change order.

Q: Do you have a warranty?

A: Yes, we warranty our workmanship and the products we sell for 1 year from the project completion date. If there is a problem with our workmanship or the product in that year, we will take care of it free of charge, even if the product only covers the material and not the labor. After one year the manufacturer's warranty goes into affect, whereby we offer our services to help you make contact with the manufcturer for any warranty claim. We also provide you with the manufacturer's warranty information at the end of each project.

Q: Are you the cheapest bid or most expensive?

A: Our proposals are usually in the middle to upper end of the project. We use only the best and most trusted materials and have trained and experienced crews. Be wary of very low bids. You don't want to have your contractor run out of money for your project and not be able to pay for material and/or labor. You will also want the contractor around in the future to service any warranties.
